Short answer
There's no fixed timetable. Assistants that search the web when answering can pick up a clearer, corrected website or listing sooner, while what an assistant learnt during training only changes when its model is updated.
A sensible approach is to fix your information, wait a few weeks, then re-check the same questions and compare. Anyone who promises a date is guessing.

How to measure it for your own business
- Record a starting point. Before changing anything, note what ChatGPT and Gemini say for a fixed set of customer-style questions, with the date.
- Fix the sources first. Correct your website, Google Business Profile and main directory listings so they agree, and add clear pages for your main services and areas.
- Leave it a few weeks. Assistants that look things up on the web may reflect changes sooner; what an assistant learnt in training changes only when its model is updated.
- Re-check with the same questions. Ask the same questions in clean chats on more than one day and compare with your starting point, looking at the pattern rather than one answer.
The honest limits
A re-check shows whether things have moved for the questions you asked, not why each assistant changed its answer. Other businesses are changing their information too, so you're not measuring in a vacuum. That's why we recommend comparing the pattern over time rather than reading meaning into any single answer. If you're starting from scratch, our guide on why competitors show up lists what to fix first.

We ask ChatGPT and Google's Gemini the kind of questions your customers ask, then email you whether you were named, roughly where, and who was suggested instead. A person reviews your check before we send it, usually within 2 working days.

Is there a typical number of weeks?
We don't quote one, because nobody outside the AI companies controls when their assistants re-read a source, and it differs between assistants. Treat a few weeks as a sensible first re-check, then compare every month or two.
Why might Gemini change before ChatGPT, or the other way round?
They're built differently and look things up differently. One may search the web for a question when the other answers from what it learnt in training. So it's normal for them to move at different speeds.
Does the fix sprint include a re-test?
Yes. The fix sprint (£1,950 +VAT) includes a re-test after 30 days, shown side by side with the starting point. That's a comparison, not a promise of a particular result.
